Police Renew Appeal For Missing 73-Year-Old 'DJ Derek'
Avon and Somerset Police have renewed their appeal for information on the whereabouts of 73-year-old Derek Serpell-Morris.
Known widely as DJ Derek, he was reported missing to on Thursday 23, but it is thought he has been missing for several weeks.
Derek is well known in the Bristol community having been a DJ at local bars and clubs for several years.
Detective Inspector Mark Langdon said: "We are growing increasingly concerned for Derek's wellbeing.
"Since he was reported missing on Thursday, we have explored several lines of enquiry.
"It appears that Derek hasn't used his bank account since the beginning of the month and doesn't have a mobile phone.
"We've checked with all the pubs and clubs he had been booked to play at and he has not made contact with any of them.
"We have also followed up every possible sighting we have had reported to us.
"Derek has a hobby of visiting each new Wetherspoon's pub which opens in the region and further afield. We have liaised with Wetherspoons and they have circulated our appeal.
"We are liaising with Derek's family as to the ongoing investigation.
"I would urge anyone who might has any information as to Derek's whereabouts to contact us immediately on 101 quoting reference number MP3388/15."
Derek is described as a white male, of average height and slim build with grey hair. He also wears glasses.

Officers now believe that Derek may have taken the 10.32am number 78 bus from Bristol to Thornbury that same day.

Police in East Anglia have said that results from a post-mortem on the body of woman found floating in a university lake are "inconclusive". An angler reported the body on Thursday morning, and the police have been unable to identify the victim.
