Police Appeal For Man Missing From Glasgow Hospital
Police Scotland have appealed for help in tracing a man missing from a Glasgow hospital.
Iain McHarg, 58, is a patient at Leverndale Hospital in the Pollok area and was last seen at 1330 hours on Tuesday 11 August 2015.
He is described as 6'2", heavy build, bald with short grey hair at the sides and stubble. He is believed to be wearing a black jumper, black trousers and black and grey walking boots.
Inspector Iain Greene said: "Iain was a long-term resident at Leverndale Hospital and was due to be released.
"He disappeared before he was discharged and we are concerned about his well-being.
"Iain is known to frequent a number of casinos in the Glasgow area and I would appeal to anyone who recognises his description to contact police immediately.
"I would also appeal directly to Iain to get in touch to let us know he is safe."
Anyone with information can contact police on 101 or CRIMESTOPPERS on 0800 555 111 where all calls will be kept anonymous.

Police Concerned For Welfare Of Woman Missing From Hospital
The Metropolitan Police have said that they are increasingly concerned for the welfare of 25-year-old Karina Lukova. Ms Lukova was last seen at around 17:30 on Thursday, 17 September when she left the Royal London Hospital where she was being treated for a recently suffered stroke and recently diagnosed heart condition.

Major Police Hunt Launched After Boy Taken From Hospital
A major police hunt has begun after a five-year-old boy with a brain tumour, was taken by his family without consent from Southampton General Hospital. Police said that Ashya King was taken from the hospital by Brett King, 51, and Naghemeh King, 45, on Thursday. It is thought he may have been taken to France.

The man jailed for the murder of two police officers has been moved from Strangeways prison in Manchester to the maximum-security Ashworth Hospital. 30-year-old Dale Cregan was given a whole-life sentence for the murders of PC Fiona Bone and PC Nicola Hughes as well as father and son David and Mark Short.
