17-Year-Old Charged Over Attack On Pregnant Woman
A 17-year-old male has been charged in connection with an assault on a pregnant woman that resulted in the loss of her unborn child.
The woman was attacked by two men wearing crash helmets as she walked along a street in Peckham, on Monday 15 June.
The teenager has been charged with child destruction, contrary to the Infant Life (Preservation) Act 1929, and grievous bodily harm. He is due to appear at Barkingside Magistrates' Court today, Wednesday 26 August.
On 3 August Kevin Wilson, 20, of Stansfield House, Longfield Estate, SE1 was charged with child destruction, contrary to the Infant Life (Preservation) Act 1929, and grievous bodily harm with intent. He will appear before Woolwich Crown Court on Thursday, 17 September for a Plea and Case Management Hearing.
A provisional trial date has been set for Monday, 30 November.

Two more arrested over teenager's murder
Two more teenagers have been arrested in connection with the murder of London teenager Paul Erhahon. The pair, aged 15 and 18, were arrested in east London on Tuesday morning. Paul died after being attacked and stabbed outside a block of flats in Leytonstone on April 6. His 15-year-old friend was also stabbed but survived the attack.

Baby Death Mother Named
The British woman charged with causing the death of her newborn baby in a hotel room in Crete has been named. Leah Andrew, from London, has been charged with infantide after being arrested in Malia on Tuesday. Ms Andrew was rushed to hospital by local residents after giving birth alone in her room.

Two People Charged After Baby Seriously Injured
Two people have been charged after an eight-week-old baby was taken to hospital with serious injuries. A police investigation was launched after the baby girl was taken to the Royal Preston Hospital on 12 January. She was suffering from serious injuries, including a bleed to the brain.

Man In Serious Condition After Takeaway Brawl
A man is being treated for "life-threatening injuries" after a brawl at a takeaway restaurant spilled out onto the street. Police said that a 38-year-old man got "caught up" in the fight at a takeaway in Wakefield. He is understood to have been punched in the face and hit his head on the road outside the restaurant.

Nurse Re-Arrested Over Poisoning And Murder
A 48-year-old nurse has been arrested in suspicion of three counts of murder, 18 counts of causing grievous bodily harm and poisoning of patients at Stockport's Stepping Hill Hospital. Victorino Chua, a father-of-two, was in custody in 2012 in connection with the tampering of medical records and contamination of intravenous medicines in 2011.
