Cannabis Farm Uncovered By Merseyside Police
A large-scale cannabis plant has been uncovered and a man has been arrested in an operation by the Tackling Gangs Action Programme of Merseyside Police.
A total of 184 cannabis plants were found when officers executed a warrant in Adelaide Close.
Specialists from the force's cannabis dismantling team have recovered the plants and the property has been forensically examined.
Sergeant Mark Berry said: "This was a pre-planned warrant based on community intelligence and has resulted in us being able to take a large quantity of cannabis off our streets.
"We take all reports of drugs activity seriously and recognise the impact that drugs can have on our community – on those who use them and the associated anti-social behaviour it brings to our streets. As we have done today. We will take robust action to put an end to the criminal behaviour of those involved in this type of organised crime.
"Anyone with any information about drug activity can report it to police via 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
