Appeal Issued After Woman Seen Self-Harming In Central London
Police have appealed for information on a woman seen self-harming at Shaftesbury Avenue at approximately 16:30 on Tuesday, 15 September.
She is described as a black woman, with an afro hairstyle and is possibly in her early 40s. The woman was wearing a black t-shirt, black baggy trousers and flip-flops.
Officers carrying out enquires have established the woman entered a nearby shop on Shaftesbury Avenue and brought a number of items before exiting and making her way to a phone box. It was here that she self-harmed before walking away, heading towards Charing Cross Road.
Police are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of the woman and are urging anyone who has seen her or has any information to call police on 101.

Disabled Woman Found Dead In Car
A disabled woman found stabbed to death in her car near her home in Harlow, Essex, has been named. Jennifer Macaree was discovered in Hadley Grange on the outskirts of Harlow early on Saturday. Essex Police confirmed she was in the driver's seat of her black Vauxhall Corsa in a parking area near her flat shortly after 3am.

Man arrested over canal torso find
A man has been arrested following the discovery of a woman's torso in a suitcase which was floating in London's Regent's Canal. Police were called to the Regents Canal in Islington on Saturday after a group of teenagers spotted a suitcase floating in the water. They managed to pull the case from the water and discovered a human torso inside.

A body found off the coast of the Netherlands is believed to be Suzanne Hughes, Norfolk Police have said. Ms Hughes from Solihull was last seen at about 22:30 on 17 July in Norfolk, where she was holidaying with her husband, daughter and grandson.

Church Asked To Support Fast-Track Women Bishops Law
The first woman bishop in the Church of England could be appointed by Christmas. The general synod supports the legislation to fast-track the revision of the latest proposals and to reduce the time given to individual dioceses. This could lead to a final vote in July with the legislation approved by November.

Baby Death Mother Named
The British woman charged with causing the death of her newborn baby in a hotel room in Crete has been named. Leah Andrew, from London, has been charged with infantide after being arrested in Malia on Tuesday. Ms Andrew was rushed to hospital by local residents after giving birth alone in her room.
