Murder Investigation Launched Into Tower Hamlets Death
A murder investigation has been launched into the death of a man in Tower Hamlets on Monday, 14 September.
A man, aged in his forties, was found with critical stab injuries at an address on Greatorex Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police had not reported the investigation until the victims family had been informed.
A post-mortem examination will take place at Poplar Mortuary today, Wednesday, 16 September.
A 43-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder. He was taken to hospital for the treatment of a hand injury before being taken to an east London police station for questioning, where he remains.
A knife was also recovered near the scene.
Detectives are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.

Police in Fife have appealed for information into an ongoing investigation following the discovery of a man's body in Glenrothes. Police discovered the body of Aleksandrs Sokolovs (29) inside a property on Tummel Road on Monday. The death of the Latvian-national is being treated as suspicious.

A British man wanted for questioning in connection with the failed London bomb attacks on July 21 is to be extradited to the UK within 35 days, an Italian court has ruled. Osman Hussein (27) will appeal the decision to the Italian Supreme court, according to his lawyers.

A man who was struck by a car and killed on the M4 in Berkshire is being treated as murder, police have confirmed. The pedestrian was hit on the eastbound carriageway between junctions 10 for Reading and 8/9 for Windsor, on Friday night. A driver reported hitting someone. The man, who was in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Double Murder Suspect Arrested
Following the arrest on Sunday morning of double murder suspect James Allen police have appealed for people to check on any friends and relatives who could have come into contact him. Detectives made the appeal after 36-year-old Allen was arrested early on Sunday after being spotted by an off-duty officer on his way to work in Leeds.
