Police Appeal For Help Identifying Man Found Dead In Kayak
Police on the Isle of Wight are trying to identify a man found dead in a kayak earlier this month.
The man's body was found at Yaverland Beach, Sandown, at about 19:20 on Friday, 11 September. It is understood that he was last seen alive in Newhaven, Sussex.
Police said he was seen in Brighton Canoes in Newhaven around 4pm three days earlier on Tuesday, 08 September and police are now trying to establish where he was and what he was doing during those three days.
He is described as white, believed to have spoken with an Irish accent, aged mid-20s to mid-30s, with blue eyes, dark hair and described as 'well built'. He was wearing beige shorts and a blue zip-up jacket.
His kayak was an inflatable yellow and black Sevylor.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.

Police Search For Missing Kayaker
A 34-year-old kayaker has gone missing on the River Usk at Llangynidr near Crickhowell, shortly before 13:00 GMT on Sunday. He is believed to have got into difficulty while kayaking with a group where the water levels are thought to be high after heavy rain. Search teams have found kayak similar to the one he was using.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

Police Investigating If Woman Was Trying To Save Dog When She Was Hit By Train
British Transport Police investigating the death of a woman have said that she may have been trying to save a dog when she was hit by a train. The 22-year-old woman was struck by a train close to Ainsdale station near Southport, Merseyside at about 15:00 on Wednesday. Transport police said a dog was also found dead at the scene.

Hampshire Police have reported that a missing 15-year-old schoolgirl has been found "safe and well". The teenager from Southhampton was last seen on Saturday on the Isle of Wight. She is said to have been in the company of a man. A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of child abduction, police have said.
