Appeal Issued For Missing Woman

Police have appealed for help in tracing 37-year-old Joanna Conlon.

Ms Conlon was seen at 17:30 on Sunday, 25 October on Heathway.

Joanne is described as white, 5ft 5ins tall, of slim build with dark brown hair.

When last seen, she was wearing a black leather jacket, dark coloured jeans and white trainers.

Anyone who has seen Joanne is asked to contact officers at Barking and Dagenham via 101.

25 Rescued From Fire At Flats In Hampstead

An investigation has been launched into the cause of a fire at flats in Hampstead.

A total of 25 residents were rescued by firefighters, who were called to reports of a fire a shop on Finchley Road early on Monday morning.

23 people were led to safety from the flats and two other people, including a pregnant woman, were rescued from the roof of the building by a turntable ladder.

12 people have been treated at the scene for smoke inhalation and a two-year-old child has been taken to hospital as a precaution suffering from smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is not known but an investigation is underway.

Appeal For Witnesses Following Armed Post Office Robbery

Detectives in Sefton are appealing for information following a robbery at a post office on Saturday 24 October 2015.

Just after 21:00 a man wearing a red scream mask, and wearing grey clothing, walked in to the post office/convenience store on Waddicar Lane in Melling, and threatened staff with a knife whilst demanding money. The offender escaped with a quantity of cash and was last seen heading towards a nearby doctors surgery towards Kirkby.

Forensic examinations have been carried out at the scene and detectives are also examining CCTV footage in a bid to identify the offender.

Appeal Issued For Missing Birmingham Sisters
West Midlands Police have appealed for help in tracing two sisters missing from their home since Sunday, 11 October. Amena Drummond, 14 and Sya Byrne 17, left their Tile Cross home in Birmingham on Sunday morning and failed to return.

Heroic Tyne Firemen Honoured
Two Tyne and Wear firefighters are to be recognised for their bravery at a special ceremony today. Andrew Nelson and Allan Richardson will be presented with the Chief Fire Officer's Commendations for brave and meritorious conduct after saving a man's life. The men took part in a dramatic rescue in the early hours of 4 February.

Firefighters launch four-day strike
More than 1,000 firefighters across Merseyside have begun a four-day strike in protest over planned job cuts. Another four-day stoppage is scheduled to begin two hours after the first one ends.

Suspicious Glasgow Car Fires
Detectives in Glasgow's East End are investigating a spate of vehicle fire attacks in the city yesterday. Shortly after 3.30am police were called to a report of a vehicle fire in Ashvale Crescent, Glasgow. Upon arrival police were advised by Strathclyde Fire Service that four vehicles had been damaged by fire.

Chief Fire Officer Resigns Over Child Porn Arrest
A top fire officer for the West Midlands Fire Service has resigned after he was arrested on suspicion of making indecent images of children. West Midlands Police arrested Frank Sheehan, 55, yesterday at his home in Sutton Coldfield.
