Work Commences On £65m Facility In Wrexham

Work to construct a new £65m European Adhesive Resin Facility for Cytec Industries Inc is underway in Wrexham. It is thought around 50 highly-skilled jobs will be created in the area through the new facility.

Marking the start of the project, Wales' Economy Minister Edwina Hart said: "This is a major investment by Cytec and great news for Wrexham and for Wales and a good example of how innovative solutions can be found to encourage inward investment into Wales, to develop and sustain manufacturing and technical jobs."

Cytec Aerospace Materials supplies composite materials for the commercial and military aerospace markets, manufacturing advance material solutions for aerospace applications including primary and secondary structures, interiors, engines and nacelles.

The new facility is opposite Cytec's existing manufacturing plant on Wrexham Industrial Estate, and will primarily supply their EU and Asia-Pacific customers and meet the growing worldwide demand for their products.
