Search For Car In River Kent Continues
Emergency services are continuing to search the River Kent, after a car reportedly entered the water on Monday afternoon.
It is understood that a vehicle has been sighted in the river but water levels are still high.
Police are urging members of the public not to go to the scene and to not take part in any search of the river bank due to the extreme dangers.
The incident has also led to some traffic disruption in the area and in the town centre. Police have thanked motorists for their patience.

Search Underway For Man Spotted In River Avon
A rescue operation is ongoing in a stretch of the River Avon in Bath after a man was reported as being in distress in the river. Avon and Somerset Police responded to an emergency call in the area near Pine's Way at around 04:00. It is understood that officers spoke to the man but were unable to get him out of the water before he went under again.

Youths Rescued From River
Two 'lucky' youths have been rescued from a Lancaster river after heavy fog hampered efforts by emergency services. The boys went into the water near Skerton Bridge, which fords the river near Ryelands Park. The alarm was raised by Lancaster Police who were pursuing the youths.

River Search Continues For Missing Schoolboy
The search operation for missing schoolboy Cameron Comey has entered its seventh day. The 11-year-old has not been seen since falling into the Carmarthen river one week ago. Extensive searches have been carried in the river and along its banks, but so far there has been no sign of the boy.

A major search operation is continuing for an 11-year-old boy who fell into the River Towy in Carmarthen. The operation was launched at about 16:00 on Tuesday when it was reported the boy had gone into the river.

River search continues
The search for the 15 year-old boy swept into a flooded river is continuing today. Divers and a boat have been brought in a bid to locate the boy who fell into the River Isis in Oxford. Two friends of the boy raised the alarm, telling a passer-by that their friend had fallen into the river and drowned.
