Two die in Fife road smash
Fife police are appealing for information following a road smash last night in which two people died.
A man and a woman died when the silver coloured Renault Clio they were travelling in collided with a Scania articulated lorry.
The accident occurred around 11.50pm on the A92 Dundee to Kirkcaldy road, about 150 yards south of the Melville Lodges roundabout. The road was closed for seven hours while police accident investigators examined the scene.
The pair have not yet been identified and police are continuing enquiries to confirm their identities and trace their relatives.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 01592 251111.

Two 14-Year-Old Boys Charged With Manslaughter
Two 14-year-old boys have been charged with manslaughter following the death of a 41-year-old father-of-two in Leicester. Ponnuthurai Nimalaraja, known as Nimal, was assaulted at the junction of Gypsy Lane and Northfield Road shortly after 23:00 on 9 June. Mr Nimalaraja died in hospital on 16 June, one week after being attacked.

PC Jailed Over Schoolgirl's Crash Death
A police officer who caused the death of a teenage girl by dangerous driving, has been jailed for three years. Hayley Adamson, 16, was killed when she stepped out into the path of PC John Dougal's car in Newcastle's Denton Road on 19 May last year. Dougal was chasing a suspect car at the time, but did not have his siren or blue lights switched on.

Police have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road accident in Wandsworth in the early hours of this morning. Police were called to reports of a car in collision with a bus stop at about 01:15 on Tuesday morning on Balham High Road. The driver of the car, a 47-year-old man, was treated at the scene by paramedics but was pronounced dead.
