Man in court over fiancée and daughter murder
A 26-year-old man has appeared in court today charged with the double murder of his teenage fiancée and their baby daughter.
Police arrested Christopher Adams, a trainee pub manager from Market Inn, St Cleer, Cornwall, in Hampshire on Tuesday for the murder of 19-year-old Claire Ford and the couple’s 18-month-old daughter Charlotte, also known as Charlie.
Ms Ford and Charlotte were found dead in Trewinnick Cottage, between Rumford and St Ervan, near Wadebridge, Cornwall, on April 26. They had died as a result of receiving blows to head from a blunt instrument, post-mortem examinations revealed.
Mr Adams was remanded in custody today by Bodmin magistrates. No application for bail was made. He is due to appear at Truro Crown Court on May 13.

Man arrested in double murder case
Police investigating the murder of a teenage mother and her baby daughter in Cornwall have arrested a man. Devon and Cornwall police confirmed that the man had been arrested in Hampshire and they planned to bring the suspect to Cornwall for questioning. Police also confirmed that a Peugeot 306 car had also been recovered.

The jury at Southwark crown court convicted Harris of 12 counts of indecent assault on four victims between 1968 and 1986. The 84-year-old was accused of having a "Jekyll and Hyde" character, prosecutors claimed.

Hull Woman Admits Killing Baby Daughter
A woman from Hull has admitted killing her baby daughter. Natasha Sultan, 21, pleaded guilty after fatally injuring her five-month old baby. She said she was suffering from post natal depression at the time. Amelia-Lilly died of head injuries at her home in Welton Grove in October 2012.

A man accused of murdering his 23-year-old daughter is expected to appear in court today. Terence Rodgers, 55, of no fixed abode, will appear at Nottingham Crown Court via videolink. Newlywed Chanel Taylor was found shot dead at her home in New Street, Huthwaite, on July 30.

Tennyson Obih, from Luton, appeared before Luton Magistrates charged with PC Henry's murder, as well as the attempted murder of two other men - Steven Chamberlain and David Knight - and trespass with intent to steal while in possession of a weapon.
