Briton confirmed dead in Egypt bomb attack
One Briton has been confirmed dead following the bomb attacks at an Egyptian holiday resort at the weekend.
Ten more Britons are still missing and are of "particular concern", the British ambassador to Egypt Sir Derek Plumbly confirmed.
Sir Derek said: "We have been working through a list of people who we have been told by tour companies or families that they have been out of touch or unaccounted for or whatever."
The death toll from the three bomb blasts at the Sharm al-Sheikh resort is expected to be as high as 88.
Among those listed as missing are couple Jeremy Lakin, 28 and Amelie Vickers, 31, who were staying at the Hyatt Regency Hotel but failed to return following the bomb attacks.
Two Britons, who were staying at the Ghazala Gardens hotel, which was targeted by a suicide bomber in a car, have also not been since the attacks. The Daily Mirror also reported that two British women, Valerie Bracci, 70, and her daughter Lesley Ayers, 50, who were staying at the Ghazala Gardens hotel, had also not been seen since the attacks. They were due to fly back to Gatwick Airport on Sunday night.
A British man in his twenties is currently being treated for serious injuries in a hospital in Cairo.
Hannah Lloyd, 16, had to be flown back to the UK via air ambulance for treatment. She had been caught up in the blast at Ghazala Gardens with her mother, Heidi and her 14-year-old sister Georgina.
Mother and daughter Jan and Faye Searle are also reported to have been injured in the Ghazala Gardens blast.
