Two bomb suspects named
Police have named two of the suspects wanted in connection with the attempted bomb attacks in London last Thursday.
Muktar Said-Ibrahim, 27, also known as Muktar Mohammed-Said, is believed to have attempted to detonate a device on the Number 26 bus on Hackney Road.
Twenty-four-year-old Yasin Hassan Omar is believed to have attempted to set off a bomb on a Victoria Line Tube train near Warren Street station.
Two other men attempted to detonate other devices around the same time last Thursday - one on a Tube train travelling between Stockwell and Oval stations and another on a Tube travelling to Shepherd's Bush.
Police said they believed that three of the four men all entered Stockwell underground station just before 12:25pm on July 21.
Police also revealed that forensic examinations of the four partially detonated devices revealed "clear similarities" to a bomb discovered in an open area at Little Wormwood Scrubs in west London.
All of the bombs had been placed inside dark coloured rucksacks or sports bags and were made using the same type of plastic food storage container.
Police said that the containers were made in India and were only sold in around 100 outlets across the UK. The containers are described as six and a quarter litre sized with a white plastic lid and a label describing it as a "Delta 6250 with Lid".
Police have appealed for any shopkeepers or workers who may have sold five or more of these containers in recent months to come forward.
Three men have been arrested following last week's attempted attacks. The men, who were arrested in Stockwell and Tulse Hill, are being held at the high security Paddington Green police station. However, none of the main suspects are believed to be among those arrested.
Police are searching a number of properties in London where the suspects are believed to have stayed.
Brazilian electrician Jean Charles de Menezes lived in one of the properties under surveillance by police. Plain-clothes policemen shot him dead at Stockwell Tube station on Friday morning after being mistaken for a potential suicide bomber.
Prime Minister Tony Blair apologised for the 27-year-old's death on Monday.
