BBC shapes up for Children In Need night
The Appeal Night for the BBC's Children in Need will feature a galaxy of celebrities as the evening kicks off with hosts Terry Wogan, Natasha Kaplinsky and Fearne Cotton.
The charity fund raising evening will feature special guest spots and specially written sketches for several top shows.
Madonna, Doctor Who, the casts of Casualty, EastEnders and Emmerdale, Catherine Tate, Bruce Forsyth, Rod Stewart and many more stars will take part in the 26th BBC Children in Need Appeal evening for a seven-hour appeal extravaganza that boasts the biggest stars of television, music and the West End.
Warming up for the evening Terry Wogan said: "It's another show jam packed with money raising madness and I am excited to be joined by my new co-stars, Fearne Cotton and Natasha Kaplinsky. I just hope these two young ladies can keep up with me!"
The guests will be singing, dancing and dressing to impress or embarrass with every penny raised going directly to children and young people in need across the UK.
This year BBC One ran a whole week of primetime programmes 'The Great Big Bid' to help raise money for BBC Children in Need.
On Friday Liberty X will perform the BBC Children in Need single 'A Night to Remember'. Status Quo are jetting in to RAF Brize Norton where they will be opening a show headlined by Girls Aloud.
There will be a live performance from Sugababes from the concert taking place in Wrexham. Westlife are live from the Belfast studio, KT Tunstall from the Glasgow studio and The Corrs, Katie Melua, Craig David, Texas, Rod Stewart and Madonna will perform live at Television Centre.
Soap stars Kim Medcalf, EastEnders jailbird Sam Mitchell, who escapes Walford nick to perform a classic track. The cast of Emmerdale are donning their gladrags for High Society in the Woolpack. Nikki Sanderson, Candice from Corrie, is singing a soul favourite live in the studio.
The boys from Casualty have a musical surprise and former Emmerdale favourite Amy Nuttall is in the studio performing music from My Fair Lady.
A special Doctor Who scene written exclusively for BBC Children in Need will be screened. Bruce Forsyth goes Strictly Tap Dancing and there are comedy surprises from Dead Ringers.
The BBC Newsreaders spot features the fandango to Bohemian Rhapsody.
Since it was launched in 1980, Children in Need has raised £380 million. Last year the total raised was £34.2 million.
