Funeral held for Lord Lichfield

The funeral of renowned photographer Lord Lichfield has taken place today.

A cousin of the Queen, Lord Lichfield, known professionally as Patrick Lichfield, died last week at the age of 66, after suffering a major stroke.

Around 200 mourners attended the funeral at St Michael and All Angels Church in Colwich, Staffordshire – a short distance from his ancestral home, Shugborough Hall.

Lord Lichfield’s partner Lady Annuziata Asquith and his ex-wife Leonora, Countess of Lichfield, attended the private service, along with his children, Viscount Anson, Lady Rose and Lad Eloise Anson, his sister Lady Elizabeth Shakerley and his nine-year-old pet Labrador, Drum.

No members of the Royal Family attended the service.

Two memorial services to celebrate Lord Lichfield’s life and career will be held at a later date at Lichfield Cathedral and at the Guards Chapel in Wellington Barracks, London.
