British man sought after family deaths

A British man is being sought by US police after his wife and baby daughter were found murdered at their home in Massachusetts.

Neil Entwhistle, 27, is understood to be outside the US and police confirmed that they had spoken to him.

The bodies of American-born Rachel Entwhistle and the couple's nine-month-old daughter Lillian were found at the couple's home in Hopkinton on Sunday night.

Mrs Entwhistle had died from a shot to the head, while Lillian had died from a shot to the abdomen.

District Attorney Martha Coakley said that Mr Entwhistle had contacted police and they had been in touch with him since. She said there was a "high level of interest" in him, in connection with the murders.

Mr Entwhistle is understood to have met his wife at York University.

The couple married in 2003 and moved to the US shortly after the birth of their daughter.
