Lotto sales increase Euro jackpot to £105 million
Millions of people have been purchasing tickets for Friday's Euromillions draw, pushing the jackpot up to £105 million.
The jackpot has not been won since November and lottery organisers Camelot said that if someone wins, they would collect the world's biggest ever single lottery payout.
Camelot, which runs the draw in the UK, said that ticket sales were now 1,000% higher than normal for the massive draw.
The Euromillions draw is open to players in the UK, Austria, Belgium, Ireland, Portugal, France, Luxembourg, Spain and Switzerland.
If the winner is British, they would become the country's 458th richest person instantly.
The UK's biggest winner in the Euromillions was Marion Richardson from Gateshead, who won £16.7 million in April 2004.
The biggest overall winner in the Euromillions to date was Dolores McNamara from Co Limerick in Ireland, who won £79 million last July.
Euromillions costs £1.50 to enter. Players have to match five numbers between one and 50, as well as two Lucky Stars between one and nine, in order to win the jackpot.
The Euromillions draw will take place in Paris on 9:30pm GMT on Friday night.
