Stewards shot at Kanye West concert
Two stewards have been shot during a concert by US rapper Kaye West at the NEC Arena in Solihull.
West Midlands Police said that they were called to the venue around 10pm last night following the shooting of two male security guards at the front entrance to the arena.
Detective Inspector Ian Grant said that several shots, believed to be from a handgun, were fired following an altercation between the guards and a man who was attempting to get into the concert without a ticket.
Both security guards were taken to hospital. One was treated and later discharged, while the other remained in hospital to be treated for gunshot wounds. His condition was described as "serious" this morning.

In a statement today, West Midlands Police said: "This incident involved individuals who had been ejected from the venue for attempting to try to gain entrance to a pop concert without tickets.
"Firearms were discharged and two stewards were taken to hospital with gunshot wounds. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening."
The scene of the shooting remains cordoned off for forensic examination.

A man has been shot dead in Birmingham, West Midlands Police have confirmed. Two other men are being treated in hospital for injuries sustained in the same incident, which happened at around 19:30 on Wednesday on Stratford Road, Sparkbrook.

Arrest Made In Preacher Murder Investigation
The Metropolitan Police have arrested a man in connection with the murder of Syrian-born preacher in north-west London. 48-year-old Abdul Hadi Arwani was found shot dead in a car on Tuesday in Wembley. It is understood that counter-terrorism police have been leading the investigation into his murder.
