Lord Kinnock receives driving ban
Lord Kinnock has been banned from driving for six months.
The former Labour leader had admitted to two speeding offences on the M4 motorway last year.
The 64-year-old was caught breaking a temporary 40mph speed limit last June, when he was caught driving at 47mph.
He was caught again in November, travelling at 60mph in a 50mph zone.
He was given six penalty points, but already had nine points on his license, taking his total to 15.
At Abergavenny Magistrates Court, Lord Kinnock was fined £400 for each offence.
He will also have to pay £43 in prosecution costs.
Lord Kinnock will have to apply for a new license towards the end of his ban.

A 32-year-old woman has been banned from driving for two years after she was caught more than three times the legal limit with her two young children in the car. Sarah Pickering, of Redfearn Mews, Harrogate was stopped on Leadhall Lane in Harrogate on 03 July.

A premier League footballer has been banned from driving after been caught speeding. Lee Cattermole has been banned 56 days after being caught speeding at more than 100mph in North Yorkshire. The Sunderland midfielder was also fined £900 and ordered to pay £425 costs and a £15 victim surcharge by Northallerton magistrates on Wednesday.

The woman charged with overseeing diversity at Channel 4 has quit to take up a peerage. Oona King ran unsuccessfully to be the Labour Party's nomination for the Mayor of London and has now been added to a list of 53 nominees put forward to take up a seat in Parliament's upper house.

Anti-Terror Spending Cut Row
Planned UK intelligence spending cuts in Pakistan have been criticised by opposition politicians. Foreign Office minister Baroness Kinnock said the department faced a £110m funding shortfall as a result of the weakening pound. She said counter-terrorism operations in Pakistan and Afghanistan would be scaled back as a consequence.
