Teen admits supermarket toilet rape

A 15-year-old boy has pleaded guilty to the rape of an 11-year-old girl in a supermarket toilet.

The teenager had been accused of attacking the girl in the toilet at the Sainsbury's store on the Shires Retail Park in Leamington Spa on March 2.

He also admitted another four charges of sexual assault during the hearing at Warwick Crown Court.

The teenager, who cannot be named, has been remanded in secure accommodation, and is due to reappear in court on June 26, when pre-sentence reports will be put before the judge.

Police investigating the rape of an eleven-year-old girl in a supermarket toilet have arrested a 15-year-old boy. The girl had been shopping with her mother in the Sainsbury's store in Shires Retail Park, Leamington Spa, on March 2 when the attack took place. She was attacked when she went to the ladies toilets in the store.

A third 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the rape of a 12-year-old girl in north-east London on Saturday 27 July. Scotland Yard confirmed that the teenager was arrested on Saturday at an east London police station.

Suspended Sentence And Driving Ban For Former Footballer
Former Premiership footballer, Steve Claridge, has received a suspended six-month jail sentence and a driving ban for dangerous driving. Claridge, 42, of Fareham, Hants, was convicted last month of driving at 100mph on the M42 near Solihull, West Midlands on 30 December 2006 in "treacherous conditions".
