Man remanded over Terry Edmonds murder

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Kent teenager Terry Edmonds.

The 17-year-old, from Hadlow, Kent, was last seen after getting off a train at Tunbridge Wells station in Kent on April 17.

Her body was discovered 12 days later, stuffed into a suitcase left near the entrance to Morrisons supermarket car park in Tunbridge Wells. She had been sexually assaulted and strangled.

Philip James Bell, 21, unemployed and of no fixed address in the Tunbridge Wells area, was arrested on suspicion of murdering Terry on Monday afternoon.

He appeared at Sevenoaks Magistrates Court on Tuesday. He was remanded in custody to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on August 21.

Man in court over Securitas robbery
A man has appeared in court charged in connection with the £53 million Securitas robbery in Kent. Ermir Hysenaj, 27, from Crowborough, East Sussex appeared before Maidstone Magistrates Court charged with conspiracy to commit robbery. He was remanded in custody to reappear in court on April 24.

Man Charged With Attempted Murder
A man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident in Faversham at the weekend. Kent Police confirmed Lincoln Payne, of no fixed abode, had been charged with robbery, theft and two counts of attempted murder following an incident in Fostall Avenue on Saturday, 30 May.

Two arrests over Securitas robbery
Police investigating the £53 million Securitas robbery in Kent have arrested two men. A 27-year-old man was arrested in Crowborough, East Sussex and an 18-year-old man was arrested in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. The men are now being questioned at Tonbridge police station on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery.

Three Jailed For Life For Catherine Wells-Burr Murder
Three Polish nationals have been jailed for life for the murder of Catherine Wells-Burr, in a plot to collect on a six-figure life insurance policy. 31-year-old Rafal Nowak smothered Ms Wells-Burr in her sleep at the home they shared in Chard, Somerset, in September last year. He was sentenced to life, with a minimum of 32 years.

70-Year-Old Jailed For Abusing Boys Over Forty Years
A 70-year-old man has been found guilty of a number of sexual offences against young boys over a period of 40 years. Neil McKenna of Barnett's Close, Tunbridge Wells was arrested in November 2013 after police carried out a warrant to search his home address.
