Four men in court over terrorism charges
Four men have appeared in court charged with a number of terrorism offences following a series of raids by anti-terror police in London earlier this month.
Yassin Mutegombwa, 22, his 20-year-old brother Hassan, Musa Akmet, 47 and Mustafa Abdullah, 24, have all been charged under anti-terrorism legislation.
Yassin Mutegombwa is charged with receiving terrorism training, while his brother is charged with procuring funds for terrorism.
Mr Akmet and Mr Abdullah are both charged with having information useful to a person committing acts of terrorism. Mr Akmet has also been charged with possessing a flare launcher under the Firearms Act.
The men were remanded in custody at the City of Westminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
They are due to appear at the same court via video-link on October 10.
Fourteen people were arrested in the raids, which were carried out on September 1. Twelve people were arrested at a Chinese restaurant in the Borough area of London. The Jameah Islameah Secondary School in Mark Cross, near Crowborough in East Sussex was also raided but no arrests were made there. Police are continuing to search the school.
Eight people remain in police custody in connection with the investigation, Two people have been released.
The arrests were not connected to the alleged plot to blow up transatlantic airliners or the July 7 London bombings.

Man Arrested On Terrorism Offences
A man has been arrested in Luton on suspicion of fundraising and inciting terrorism overseas, it has been reported. The Metropolitan Police said the 35-year-old has been taken into custody in London. Searches are now being carried out at three properties; two are in east London and the third is in Luton.
