Teenager arrested over fatal shooting
Police investigating the fatal shooting a man in east London last month have arrested an 18-year-old man.
Bradley Tucker was arrested on suspicion of the murder of Peter Woodhams after handing himself in at a police station in east London on Monday.
A spokesperson for Scotland Yard said: "Bradley Tucker attended Dagenham police station by appointment at 12 noon and was arrested in connection with the murder of Peter Woodhams. He is now in custody and will be interviewed."
Mr Woodhams, 22, a satellite engineer who had a young son, was shot dead near his home in Custom House. He is understood to have been involved in a confrontation with a group of youths outside shops just before the shooting occurred.
After the shooting, Mr Woodham's fiancée Jane Bowden said that he had been stabbed in the neck during an altercation with a gang of youths a few months earlier. Since then, she said, he had been subjected to a campaign of intimidation.
No-one has been charged with the stabbing and the Independent Police Complaints Commission has begun an investigation into the force's handling of the incident.
