Miss Great Britain stripped of title
Miss Great Britain has been stripped of her title after allegations emerged that she dated one of the judges before the contest.
According to reports, Danielle Lloyd gave an interview to 'Eve' magazine where it is said that she reminisced about being given a pair of £7,000 Jimmy Choo shoes by her footballer boyfriend Teddy Sheringham last Christmas.
However, it was believed that the 22-year-old had only begun dating the West Ham striker after she won the contest in February.
Organisers of the beauty pageant are also upset over the revelation that Miss Lloyd will appear topless in the next edition of Playboy magazine.
A statement released on the Miss Great Britain website said: "We have sadly decided to strip Danielle Lloyd of her title as Miss Great Britain 2006 effective immediately.
"We are very sad that this action has been necessary and we wish her the best for the future."
Miss Lloyd has reportedly accepted that the Playboy shoot was a breach of the contest's rules, but insisted that her relationship with Mr Sheringham began after the night she won the contest and that there was a misunderstanding about the nature of the magazine article.
