Police pay details stolen
Burglars have stolen three laptop computers containing payroll details for Metropolitan Police staff, Scotland Yard has confirmed.
The computers were stolen from the offices of LogicaCMG, which is responsible for the force's pay and pension services, in Southwark Street last Thursday evening.
A man arrested last Friday in connection with inquiries into the burglary was later released on bail to return to a south London police station, pending further inquiries.
Officers from the Burglary Squad, supported by the Specialist Crime Directorate, are investigating the raid.
A spokesperson for the Met said they believed there was a "minimal" risk of the staff members involved being affected by fraud or identity theft.
