Gary Glitter 'could be released early'
Former popstar Gary Glitter, who was jailed last year for molesting two young girls in Vietnam, could be released from prison early, it has been revealed.
The former glam rocker - real name Paul Gadd - was sentenced to three years last March for molesting two girls aged 11 and 12. Glitter, 62, denied the charges.
However, Glitter's name is on a list of inmates who could be released early under a Lunar New Year amnesty.
Once Glitter is released he will be deported from Vietnam. He may face further charges if he returns to Britain.
Glitter was sentenced to four months in prison in Britain in 1999 after he admitted possessing child porn.
After serving half of the sentence, he went to Cambodia, but was deported in 2002 after being detained over suspected sex offences.
