Man charged in Manchester rape inquiry
A 47-year-old man has been charged with five counts of rape in connection with three incidents in Manchester.
James Ziga, also known as Jaroslav, of Prestage Road in Old Trafford has also been charged with three counts of false imprisonment and two counts of attempted rape.
The charges relate to three separate incidents in the Manchester and Old Trafford areas.
The first is alleged to have happened at a house on Manley Road in Whalley Range on September 28 and involved a 27-year-old woman, while the second is reported to have happened at the same address on October 13, involving a 48-year-old woman.
The last incident is reported to have happened at a house on Prestage Road on January 26 and involved a 30-year-old woman.
Mr Ziga is due to appear before Manchester City Magistrates' Court on February 26.

The man who accused footballer Wayne Rooney of assault has dropped his claim, it has been reported. Patrick Hanrahan, a 22-year-old student from Eaglescliffe, Middlesborough, accused the England and Manchester United striker of attacking him in the Tiger Tiger nightclub in Manchester.

Murder investigation launched in Manchester
Police have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of the bodies of a mother and her three children aged between 5 and 11 at a house in Greater Manchester. A fifth person living at the address, 36-year old Rahan Arshad, who is believed to have been missing for four weeks, is being sought by police.

Man In Court Over Prison Van Escape
A 31-year-old man has appeared in court in Manchester charged with escaping lawful custody, following an incident when a prison van was ambushed in Salford. Three masked me ambushed the prison van as it made its way to court on April 30. Stevie McMullen, from Salford, and a second man, 20-year-old Ryan McDonald escaped from the van.

21-Year-Old Charged With Grooming Offences
A 21-year-old man has been charged with grooming offences following an investigation by Greater Manchester Police's Sunrise Team in Rochdale. Ryan Howley, of Top O'The Close Road, Walsden, Todmorden, is charged with two counts of attempting to meet a child following sexual grooming and one count of inciting a child to commit sexual activity.
