Woolmer was strangled in hotel room
Further tests have revealed that Pakistan cricket coach Bob Woolmer was murdered.
The full post-mortem on the 58-year-old former England cricketer who died on Sunday showed that he had died as a result of what Jamacian police said was "manual strangulation".
Mr Woolmer died hours after he was found unconscious in his hotel room at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel in Kingston.
His death came 24 hours after Pakistan lost to Ireland in the cricket World Cup.
Woolmer was known to suffer from diabetes and reported recently complained of breathing difficulties.
His widow Gill said that she had received an email from Woolmer a few hours before he died in which he expressed his disappointment at Pakistan's defeat by Ireland. She said that she did not believe that her husband's death was a suicide.
Jamacian police say they are following lines of inquiry, but it is thought that Mr Woolmer was attacked by someone he knew, someone he had let into his hotel room.
Members of the Pakistani squad have been questioned by police.
The squad are expected to return home on Saturday.
Mr Woolmer had sucessfully coached in South Africa and spent two seasons with the Warwickshire county cricket side.
