Investigation continues into British woman's death in Japan
Police are continuing to search for a Japanese man in connection with the death of a British woman whose body was found in a bathtub filled with sand in Japan.
The body of 22-year-old Lindsay Ann Hawker was discovered in a block of flats in Ichikawa, east of Tokyo.
The cause of death is not known, but it has been revealed that she suffered injuries to her face.
Miss Hawker, from Brandon, near Coventry, had been working as an English teacher for the Nova language school and had only been in Japan for a couple of months.
She was reported missing on Monday, after disappearing from her home on Sunday.
Police are searching for the resident of the flat where her body was discovered, 28-year-old Tatsuya Ichihashi.
Miss Hawker's father Bill and boyfriend Ryan Garside have travelled to Japan in order to identify her body.
Bill Hawker told reporters that his daughter was "a lovely girl" who "would have helped anybody" and said that he "will not rest" until her killer has been caught.
He said that his daughter was not in a relationship with Mr Ichihashi and said that he believed she had been "tricked" into going to his apartment on the pretext of giving English lessons.
Mr Garside told reporters that he had been with Lindsay for four years and spoke of how they planned to get married and start a family. He said: "That man has ruined mine and Lindsay's plan - he ruined our dream."
