Search continues for crew members

The families of eight crewmen killed or feared dead after a Norwegian anchor handling tug capsized in the Atlantic are due to arrive on Shetland.

A 15-year-old boy on work experience and his father are believed to be among five crewmen missing after an oil rig vessel capsized in the Atlantic, killing three people.

Royal Navy divers were examining the Bourbon Dolphin, which overturned at around 5.20pm yesterday.

Ten crew members were found after the incident and seven are in hospital.

Coastguard spokesman Jim Sinclair said they were carrying out a very detailed survey and risk assessment.

Trond Myklebust, Managing Director of Bourbon Offshore, which is based in Fosnavaag in Norway, has chartered a plane to bring company representatives and family members to Lerwick.

He said: "At this stage we do not know what happened. We only know it happened quickly. We have been taking care of relatives here in our office and we have had doctors and police and we are doing everything we can to assist."

He also said there was no mayday or distress call from the ship.

The Bourbon Dolphin had a number of roles in the North Sea, including anchor handling and towing, the installation of subsea construction blocks and operations involving remote vehicles.
