Jamie's £150,000 reward over pub raid
Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver has offered a £150,000 reward for information to help catch the robbers who raided the pub where he grew up.
Five men, armed with baseball bats and hammers, raided The Cricketers in Clavering in Essex around 11pm on Sunday and stole around £10,000 from a till and safe on the premises.
It is understood that the staff were threatened and an elderly member of staff was pushed to the floor during the raid.
The pub is owned by Oliver's parents, Trevor and Sally, who were not on the premises at the time.
Oliver, who is on a business trip in America, is offering the reward to anyone with information that would lead to an arrest and conviction.
A spokesperson for the celebrity chef said that Oliver was "angry", as well as "disappointed and shocked" at what had happened.
Police said that the gang had left the scene in a dark saloon car and said that there was no evidence to suggest that the pub had been targeted because of its celebrity link.
