Bodies found in wreckage of missing helicopter
Rescue services searching for a helicopter, which went missing late on Tuesday night, have found four bodies in wreckage in Cambridgeshire.
The helicopter, which is believed to belong to businessman Phillip Carter, disappeared from radar screens last night as it travelled between Liverpool and Peterborough.
Mr Carter, a Chelsea supporter who is one of eight honorary vice presidents of the team, was at the team's Champion's League game against Liverpool at Anfield and it is understood that he was returning home from the game when the helicopter vanished.
A spokesperson for his firm, Carter & Carter, said that the helicopter was carrying Mr Carter, the pilot and up to three passengers when it went missing.
According to reports, it is believed that Mr Carter's 17-year-old son Andrew was on board, along with Jonathan Waller, a friend of Mr Carter's and pilot Stephen Holditch.
However, police have not confirmed the identities of the bodies found at the scene.
It is understood that the Twin Squirrel helicopter left John Lennon Airport in Liverpool at 11pm on Tuesday and it was due to land in Thornhaugh, west of Peterborough, where Mr Carter lives.
Mr Carter, 44, is the founder of training company Carter & Carter. He is worth around £92 million and is Britain's 770th wealthiest person, according to the Sunday Times Rich List.
