'No disciplinary action' for Menezes police
The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) has ruled that none of the 11 police officers involved in the shooting which killed Brazilian Jean Charles de Menezes will face disciplinary action.
While 15 Metropolitan police officers have been investigated by the police complaints watchdog, decisions have not yet been made on the four most senior officers interviewed.
The Menezes family described the decision as "disgraceful" and a "travesty of justice".
Jean Charles de Menezes, 27, was shot eight times at Stockwell Tube station by police officers after he was mistaken for a suicide bomber.
The IPCC said that a surveillance officer would be given "management advice".
Decisions on the investigation into the remaining officers will not be made public until after he conclusion of court proceedings.
Scotland Yard is facing a court case brought under health and safety legislation. The case is due to start in October.
