Two arrested over pregnant teen's murder

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the fatal stabbing of a pregnant teenager in Greater Manchester.

Sana Ali, 17, who is believed to have been two months pregnant, was found in an upstairs bedroom of her home, which she shared with her husband, his brother and parents, in Throstle Grove in Bury on Friday afternoon by her sister-in-law.

She was rushed to hospital, but emergency services were unable to save her or her unborn child.

A post-mortem revealed that the cause of death was stab wounds to the chest and abdomen.

A 24-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Mrs Ali is originally from Pakistan, but moved to the UK five years ago and is understood to have married a British Muslim man.
