Boy's body found in Warwickshire lake
The body of a nine-year-old boy, who disappeared while fishing on a lake in Warwickshire on Tuesday, has been found.
Police had been searching for Owen Day who failed to return home after going fishing with friends at a lake off Queen Elizabeth Road in Nuneaton around 6pm on Tuesday evening.
He was last seen encountering difficulties in the water and his two friends went to get help.
The search involved the fire service, specialist underwater search teams, police and the force helicopter were all involved in the search.
Police said that his body was recovered from the bed of the lake around 2am on Wednesday morning.
A post-mortem is due to take place.

Police divers searching a disused quarry for a 15-year-old schoolboy who went missing while swimming have found a body. Daniel Steedman was swimming with three friends at Humbie Quarry in Kirkliston, West Lothian, at around 5pm on Thursday when he got into difficulties and disappeared under the water.

Police Searching For Missing Teenager Recover Body
Police searching for a missing teenager have recovered a body from the River Clyde. Police Scotland said that divers recovered a body from the river at Greenock and they believe it is missing 19-year-old Sarah Smith. Ms Smith, from Port Glasgow, was reported missing on Sunday night.
