Police continue to question Madeleine suspect
Police are continuing to re-interview the only official suspect in the case of the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.
Robert Murat returned to Policia Judiciara headquarters in Portimao on Wednesday morning for a second day of questioning over the four-year-old's disappearance.
The 33-year-old Briton became a suspect in the case, on May 14, eleven days after the child, from Rothley in Leicestershire, disappeared from her family's holiday apartment in Praia da Luz in the Algarve.
However, police admitted at the time that they did not have enough evidence to arrest or formally charge anyone.
Meanwhile, it has also been reported that three friends of Madeleine's parents, Gerry and Kate McCann, are among people being questioned by police over the disappearance.
It is understood that Rachael Oldfield, Russell O'Brien and Fiona Payne will be going over their statements regarding the night of Madeleine's disappearance with police.
Madeleine's parents had been having dinner in a nearby tapas bar with a group of friends from the UK when their daughter disappeared.
