Appeal following City bar murder
Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward following the murder of a 21-year-old man at a bar in London's financial district on Friday.
Lee Cook, a barrister's clerk from Harold Wood, Essex, was with friends at the Alibi bar on Shoe Lane in the City when he was involved in an incident with another group around 10:45pm on Friday night.
It is believed that Mr Cook was hit at least three times during the incident.
City of London Police said that the attack took place close to the venue's dance floor.
No weapon has been recovered so far and a post-mortem examination was due to be carried out on Tuesday.
Two people are currently being questioned and inquiries are continuing.
Detective Superintendent Tony Crampton said: "We have already spoken to a number of people who were in the Alibi bar on Friday evening. There were almost 200 people in the bar at the time of the incident and I would appeal to those who have not yet spoken to us to get in touch as soon as possible."

Two charged over Clapham Common murder

Man Arrested Over Nightclub Car Crash
A 26-year-old man has been arrested after a stolen car was deliberately driven into a group of people outside a nightclub. The Saab car mounted the pavement on Packer Street, outside the Dali Bar, injuring a total of fourteen people. Three people remain in hospital. The incident took place at 2.10am on Sunday in Rochdale, Greater Manchester.

Some 100 riot police have been deployed in central London as protestors take to the streets to demonstrate ahead on the G8 summit being held in Northern Ireland next week. Officers were sent to Soho, where protesters are thought to have occupied a former police station on Beak Street.

Northamptonshire Police have appealed for witnesses to a "serious disturbance" at a bar that left four people in need of hospital treatment for stab wounds. Police said they were called to Faces Bar in Bridge Street at about 4am. Bridge Street remains closed while police search the area and the bar.
