McCanns Insist 'Madeleine Is Still Alive'
The parents of missing British girl Madeleine McCann have said that they believe their daughter will be found alive.
Madeleine's father Gerry McCann told reporters that he and his wife Kate were "not naive" but said that Portuguese police had assured them that they were looking for the four-year-old alive.
Their comments came amid reports that forensic tests were being carried out on suspected traces of blood found in the apartment in Praia da Luz in the Algarve where Madeleine disappeared from on May 3.
A fresh search at the Portuguese home of Briton Robert Murat - the only formal suspect in the case - over the past few days has revealed no evidence to link him to Madeleine's disappearance.
Mr Murat has denied any involvement in her disappearance.
Police are also investigating reports of a possible sighting of Madeleine in the town of Tongeren in Belgium.
According to reports on Monday, a woman in a restaurant in the town reported seeing a girl she believed to be Madeleine in the company of a Dutch man and an English-speaking woman.
