Jailed Killers Charged With Stabbing Inmate
Two men imprisoned for murdering PC Sharon Beshenivsky during an armed robbery have been charged with stabbing a fellow inmate.
Yusuf Abdillh Jamma, 20 and Muzzaker Imtiaz Shah, 25 were convicted of murdering the officer in Bradford almost two years ago.
Her colleage, PC Teresa Milburn, was also shot and seriously wounded as the robbers fled with around £5,000.
Shah and Jamma have been told that they will serve a minimum of 35 years in prison for the murder before being considered for release.
Both are accused of stabbing a 22-year-old man at Durham's Frankland Prison in March.
The injured prisoner suffered wounds to the stomach and cuts to his face in an attack in his cell.
They will appear before Peterlee magistrates via videolink on 30 August charged with wounding with intent.
Frankland Prison, which houses some of the UK's most dangerous inmates has seen several attacks on high profile prisoners in recent months.
Shah and Jamma have since been sent to separate prisons.
