Body Of Convicted Killer Found
The body of a convicted killer who escaped from an open prison has been found in his car in Derbyshire.
Martyn Hughes, 50, from Norfolk, was serving three life sentences for the murder of his two stepchildren and the manslaughter of his wife.
He failed to return to Sudbury Open Prison on Sunday after being granted temporary leave.
His body was found in his car on a secluded farm track near Belper, police confirmed. His death is not being treated as suspicious.
Hughes was convicted of the murder of his stepsons James and Matthew Brackhahn, aged seven and six, and the manslaughter of his wife Deborah at Norwich Crown Court in 1996.
He received three life sentences with a recommended minimum sentence of 13 years.

Jodi killer set to appeal
The teenager convicted of the murder of schoolgirl Jodi Jones has been granted leave to appeal against the conviction. Luke Mitchell, who is now 17, was convicted of the 14-year-old's murder in January 2005. Jodi's body was found on a secluded woodland path in Dalkeith in June 2003.

Three Kayakers Found Dead Named
Three kayakers found dead in the River Tyne in Northumberland after they went missing were two brothers and their cousin. Police were alerted after brothers Darren Thorpe, 41, Mark Thorpe, 39, and their cousin Gavin Bradley, 36, all from South Shields, were reported missing at 11.00pm last Sunday when they failed to return home.
