Suspect Extradited In WPC Murder Case
A man suspected of involvement in the murder of WPC Sharon Beshenivsky has been extradited from Somalia.
West Yorkshire Police said Mustaf Jama (27) had been arrested and flown back to the UK following months of international investigation.
PC Beshenivsky was shot on November 18, 2005 as she responded to an alarm at a travel agent's in Bradford, West Yorkshire.
Jama is being transferred to a West Yorkshire police station.
Five people have already been convicted in connection with the policewoman's murder.
Muzzaker Shah was told he must serve a minimum of 35 years in prison after he admitted the murder at Newcastle Crown Court last year.
Yusuf Jama, who is the brother of Mustaf, was found guilty of the murder and was also ordered to serve a minimum of 35 years for his part in the robbery.
Faisal Razzaq was also given a life sentence and told he must serve at least 11 years when he was found guilty of manslaughter, robbery and firearms offences.
His brother, Hassan, was later jailed for 20 years for the manslaughter of the policewoman. He was also found guilty of robbery and firearms offences.
Earlier this year, Raza ul Haq Aslam was jailed for eight years for taking part in the botched robbery after he had effectively acted as a look-out during the fatal raid.
He was acquitted of murder, manslaughter, robbery and a string of firearms offences in December last year.
However, following a retrial in March this year, he was convicted of robbery at Newcastle Crown Court.
