Anti-Bullying Channel Launched On YouTube
An anti-bullying channel has been launched on video-share web site YouTube, in conjunction with charity BeatBullying.
The Beatbullying YouTube channel has been launched to mark the start of Anti-Bullying Week.
The channel encourages users to post their own anti-bullying videos and messages as part of a campaign to stamp out bullying.
The campaign is being supported by a number of celebrities including Dannii Minogue, Penny Lancaster, Girls Aloud, Ronan Keating and Kim Ryder.
The launch of the channel follows an increase in complaints of 'cyberbullying' - persecution by email, mobile phone and via social networking sites - among children.
Sarah Dyer, Director of Beatbullying, said: "The Beatbullying YouTube channel will revolutionise how young people access information on how to avoid being bullied and importantly on how to avoid being a bully."
The site can be found at: www.youtube.com/beatbullying.
