Gang Sought Over Reading Armed Robbery
Police in Reading have appealed for information about an armed gang who held two at knife point a bedroom of a house while they ransacked it.
Three men entered the house in St Michael's Road in Tilehurst between 5.30pm and 6.30pm on November 24.
Two of the men, who were carrying machetes, held the two men in the house in a bedroom, while a third man looted the house.
It is understood that two laptops, a mobile phone and cash were stolen during the raid.
The attackers are all believed to be in their early to mid 20s. The first is described as white, about 5ft 10ins tall and of medium build. He was wearing a dark hooded top with a football-style scarf covering his face.
The second attacker is described as black, around 6ft 2ins tall and stocky. He was wearing a dark hooded top and scarf covering his face.
The third is described as mixed race, between 5ft 10ins and 6ft tall and of medium build. He was wearing a light grey hooded jumper.
A police spokesperson said: "The two occupants aged in their twenties were injured as a result of being attacked with the weapons. One of them received a minor cut to his neck and finger while the other sustained more serious injuries and was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital where he was treated for numerous gashes to his body."
The spokesperson added that they believed that the offenders were in a car, which was left outside the house while the robbery took place.

UK annual house price inflation in June 2007 was 12.1%, up from 10.8% in May 2007. Annual house price inflation in London was 17.5% in June, up from 14.3% in May. Annual house price inflation dropped again in October, according to the latest figures from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister. House price inflation was 2.2% in October, a fall from September’s figure of 3.3%. The ODPM reported that the average house price in the UK was £186,103 in October, compared with £186,755 in September.

UK house prices fall, report shows
UK house prices fell by 0.5% between January and February, figures from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) have shown. The drop in prices, which saw the average house price in the UK in February fall to £179,491 from £180,465 in January, is smaller than the 1% fall reported in the same period last year.

Police Search For Three-Year-Old Missing From Home
A search operation has been launched in Edinburgh for a three-year-old boy who has gone missing from his home. It is understood that Mikael Kular was put to bed at his home in Ferry Gait in Edinburgh at around 21:00 on Wednesday. However, when his family woke on Thursday morning he was not in the house.
