Two People Arrested Over Suspicious Death In Edinburgh
Two people have been arrested in connection with a suspicious death in the Morningside area of Edinburgh on Sunday.
Police were called to a flat in Newbattle Terrace around 6:25am on Sunday, where they discovered an injured 20-year-old man.
He was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, where he later died.
A post-mortem is due to be held on Monday and a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A 23-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man have been arrested in connection with the death.

Businessman Fined Over Damage To Ancient Woods
Natural England has won its case against a businessman in Cumbria who was found to have caused damage to an ancient woodland on his land. Philip Day was order to pay a fine of £450,000 and court fees of £475,000 in connection with the felling of trees and the excavation of land in order to build an access track in Gelt Woods.

Ryanair Postpones Opening Of Edinburgh Base
Low-fares airline Ryanair has been forced to postpone the opening of its new Edinburgh base for six weeks, due to strike action at airplane manufacturer Boeing. Ryanair said that the strike had resulted in Boeing being unable to deliver two 737 planes which the airline had purchased to operate on its new Edinburgh routes.

A 49-year-old man has been arrested following the suspicious death of another man in Devon. The 48-year-old victim was discovered at 6:10pm at St Barnabas Church in Dartmouth on 22 August. Emergency services treated the man at the scene but he was later pronounced dead. A 43-year-old man has also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Three Men Arrested Over PC Death
Three men have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of an off-duty police officer in Greater Manchester. 28-year-old PC Gareth Francis was attacked after getting out of a taxi in Edgeley in Stockport around 01.20 am on Sunday morning. He died of a head injury a short time later at Stepping Hill hospital.
