Two Arrested In Rhys Murder Investigation
Police investigating the fatal shooting of Merseyside schoolboy Rhys Jones last year have arrested two teenagers on firearms offences.
Police confirmed that pair - aged 18 and 16 and both from Croxteth - were among 18 people arrested last year in connection with the 11-year-old's murder.
A statement issued by Merseyside Police said: "Detectives investigating the murder of Rhys Hones in Croxteth on Wednesday August 22 have rearrested two males from Croxteth in connection with firearms offences."
One of the theories being examined by police investigating the case is that a teenage gang member aiming for a rival fired the fatal bullet.
