Accused Admits To Sex With 'Dead' Woman
A man accused of murdering an aspiring teenage model has denied killing her - but admitted to having sex with the 18-year-old as she lay fatally wounded.
Mark Dixie, confessed that he had sex with murdered Sally Anne Bowman as she lay in a pool of blood - in her own driveway - but has claimed she was already dead, prosecutor Brian Altman told the Old Bailey today.
In September 2005 Miss Bowman's body was found in the middle of the night just outside her home in Croydon, south London with several stab wounds to her neck and abdomen and bites on various parts of her body.
Bowman had been driven home to Blenheim Crescent by her boyfriend at around 4am, the court heard. She left the car and walked the short distance to her home as the boyfriend drove off.
At 4.20am, a neighbour heard her screaming and at 6.30am a woman looked across the road and saw her.
Altman said the teenager's "mostly naked and bloodied body" was found with stab wounds "so savage" that they passed through the body and out the other side.
Dixie's DNA was found on Bowman's body, his bloody fingerprint on her shoe and his bite marks on her cheek, neck and right nipple.
Altman said Dixie claimed he was under the influence of drink and drugs and had "taken advantage of the situation".
Dixie, of no fixed address, denies murder. The trial continues.
