Man Arrested Over London Taxi Rapes
Police investigating a series of attacks in London by a rapist who picks up his victims in a black taxi cab have arrested a man.
Scotland Yard confirmed that the suspect, who is aged in his 40s, was arrested at an address in southeast London. He is currently being questioned.
It is believed that the rapist struck at least five times, picking up his victims in central London, around the Oxford Street and London Bridge areas.
He is believed to have pretended to be a lottery winner and offered his victims a spiked drink to 'celebrate' the win before raping them.
All the victims were aged between 17 and 33 and had been out drinking with friends before they were attacked. All were then driven to their destinations after being attacked.
Three of the attacks took place over the last three months.
