Jury Sent Home In 'Bus Stalker' Murder Trial
The jury in the murder case - dubbed the 'Bus Stalker' killings - has been sent home after the first day of deliberations in the trial.
Levi Bellfield, 39, from west London, is accused of offences against five different women.
He is accused of killing Amelie Delagrange, 22, in August 2004 and Marsha McDonnell, 19, in February 2003, as well as the attempted murders of Kate Sheedy, 18, and Irma Dragoshi, 33.
He is also accused of the kidnap and false imprisonment of 17-year-old Anna-Maria Rennie.
During the three-and-a-half month trial at the Old Bailey, the prosecution alleged that Mr Bellfield trawled buses and bus stops for women and attacked them when he was rejected.
Mr Bellfield has denied all the charges against him, claiming that he is a victim of mistaken identity.
The jury is expected to continue considering its verdicts tomorrow.
