Little Britain Star Completes Second Charity Swim
Comedy actor and Little Britain star has completed a charity swim from Spain to Africa.
David Walliams, who famously swam the Channel in 2006 for Sport Relief, joined Olympic rower James Cracknell to cross the 12-mile Strait of Gibralter.
They completed the Sport Relief swim in four hours and 36 minutes.
The swim was the last leg of Cracknell's 10-day 'Cross-Continental Challenge' from the UK to Africa. He also rowed the Channel and cycled through France and Spain.
James Cracknell's wife, TV presenter Beverley Turner, and 'Dragon's Den' star Theo Paphitis cheered the duo on and were on hand to offer support when they arrived on shore.
Walliams, who raised £1m for the charity during his 2006 swim, was sick in the water. Speaking to BBC News 24, after he revealed this challenge was more difficult, he added: "Swimming and throwing up… it shouldn't really go together.
"It was really tough."
